There was an excellent recipe posted here for pulled pork some years ago. "Start with a Boston butt and a slow cooker..." but nothing recently.
I can't even find the old recipes any longer.
Anyone have tips on tasty recipes that can be prepared with little effort? Let's see 'em!
After all, we all have to eat.

Hello All
Here is my best pulled pork bbq recipe, make it and you may live forever or not.
1 Large Crock Pot
1 Large Boston Butt ( nothing sexual here guys calm down )
1 large sweet onion
2 jars Kraft Honey BBQ Sauce
2 Teaspoons of liquid smoke
2 packages of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper ( more or less to taste )
Garlic Toast or Buns
Total cooking time 5-7 hours but you can do it while you sleep.
Put the butt in the crock pot cover with water add the soup mix.
Peel and dice the Onion and add it to the pot.
Add 1 Teaspoon of the Liquid Smoke
Add the Cayenne Pepper.
Cook on high for one hour then reduce the heat to low for several hours. Cooking time will be determined by the size of the butt. ( the one you bought not yours )
When the meat is fork tender as in it falls apart it is almost done. At this point drain the meat and place it on a large cookie sheet. As soon as it is just cool enough remove the fat from meat and return the meat to the crock pot. Using a large fork stir the meat pulling it in to small pieces. This is where the term pulled comes from.
Turn the crock pot on high add enough BBQ sauce to the meat to achive the thickness you want. Some like more and some like less. If you want a more smokie flavor add the last teaspoon of the liquid smoke, if not don't. Stir every few minutes to make sure it does not stick. If you need to you can add some water in small amounts. The idea here is to get a ring of burnt bbq around the top sides of the crockpot. This adds a flavor level to the bbq.
When ever your happy serve on toasted buns or on garlic toast.
Hope you all enjoy this.

PS
If you save the cooking juices from the meat and use it to make a rice side dish you will really be a hit.
